From last year Google is being pressurized by many developers mostly from India and also worldwide to lower its steep Play Store commissions and allow other payment methods as approximately 99% of people in India are relied on Android Technology.
So Google said on 10th Nov,2021 (Friday) that the NEW BILLING POLICY for Playstore would be implemented on October 2022. In fact this is the second time google postponed the implementation, i.e, earlier it was postponed to March 2022 and which is now postponed to October 2022.
The tech giant further added that this initiative would “provide developers in India the required product support for recurring payments through convenient payment systems, including UPI (Unified Payments Interface) and wallets, and also provide them more time in light of the changes to India’s recurring digital payments guidelines
